Yandex revenue increased by 29% in Q1 2018
In the first quarter of 2018, the consolidated revenue of Yandex increased by 29% compared to the same period in 2017 and reached 26.6 billion rubles ($464 million). The net income grew by 126% and amounted to 1.9 billion rubles ($32.2 million). The net income margin is 7.0%. The adjusted net income increased by 7% in comparison to the same period in 2017 and reached 4.0 billion rubles ($70.0 million), with the adjusted net income margin amounting to 15.1%. The adjusted EBITDA increased by 12% and amounted to 7.7 billion rubles ($134.5 million). The adjusted EBITDA is 29%.
Yandex revenue from online advertising selling increased by 17% compared to the same period in 2017 and it occupies 86% of the total income of Yandex in Q1 2018. The revenue from selling ads on the websites of Yandex increased by 22% compared to the same figure for the first quarter in 2017 and occupied 66% of the total revenue of the company in Q1 2018.
In Russia, the share of Yandex search queries on Android-based devices reached 46.3% in Q1 2018 (according to the Yandex.Radar analytical tool). The number of search queries in Russia increased by 10% compared to the period of the first quarter in 2017.
