Yandex introduces Turbo pages
Yandex introduces its new technology which allows loading simplified mobile versions of websites and enables monetization. Site owners can now use this tool to increase traffic to their websites. To start using Turbo pages they need to mark the site’s pages and send the information to Yandex.Webmaster through the RSS feed. Yandex will do the rest.
Yandex stores the site content on its servers and displays it in the format of a Turbo page when needed. Such pages show only necessary information: texts, videos, and pictures. Turbo pages load faster than the mobile versions of websites because on average the size of a turbo page is 10 times less than that of a regular web page. I.e, in 3G networks turbo pages load 15 times faster than original pages do.
The page interface has several ad blocks where advertisers can display both contextual and media advertisements. The ads can be created and placed via the Yandex advertising network (YAN) or ADFOX. YAN and ADFOX algorithms will automatically display advertisements that can generate more profit. Analytics counters like Yandex.Metrica, Google Analytics, Mediascope, and others will help to monitor the website traffic and advertising efficiency.
